The final match-up of Round Two in TSN.cas 2013 Play of the Year Showdown sees Bostons big-man, Zdeno Chara go head-to-head with Cody Hodgson of the Sabres. In the First Round of the 2013 POY Showdown, Hodgson easily defeated Henrik Sedin, receiving 68.73 per cent of the votes. Chara was just able to sneak past Patrick Kane, locking down 50.45 per cent of the votes to move on. Hodgson shows off some fancy stick-work, clever thinking and great hands with his POY candidate. Hodgson cruises with the puck from the neutral zone to the net, dodging player after player, making his opponents looks like pylons in a skating drill. Charas POY entry encompasses some skills that most people wouldnt associate with the big defenceman - quick feet and smooth hands. Chara takes a pass at the blue line, and instead of doing what everyone watching thought he was going to do (hello slapshot!), Chara pulls out size-defying move, shedding his coverage and finishing the play off with a sensational backhand.
